1. Purpose of Information Access
The Extension is designed to facilitate e-commerce market research by allowing users to export publicly available product data into structured formats. Data access is strictly user-initiated.
2. Data Points Extracted
When a user triggers the "Scrape" action, the Extension reads the following public information from the active Temu.com tab:
📦 Product Details:
Titles, Prices (Sale & Original), and Discounts.
Units Sold, Star Ratings, and Bestseller Rankings.
Shipping Estimates and Localized Delivery Timelines.
Stock availability indicators and inventory warnings.
Product Variants: All available color and size options.
🏬 Seller & Store Information:
Store Names, Store Ratings, and Total Shop Sales.
Follower counts and professional seller badges.
🚫 Data We NEVER Access:
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) like names or emails.
Credit card, banking, or billing information.
User login credentials or account passwords.
Browsing history or data from non-Temu websites.
3. Permission Justifications

Required to identify and read product data from the Temu page you are currently viewing.

Power the "Smart Memory" and "Saved List" features by caching data locally on your device.
sidePanel
Enables the persistent sidebar workspace for a better data-viewing experience while browsing.
downloads
Allows the tool to save your extracted tables as Excel, CSV, or JSON files to your computer.
scripting
Used to inject on-demand scraping logic into the page when you click the "Scrape" button.
4. Local Storage & Security
Your data is stored using the chrome.storage.local API. This data is private to your browser profile and is not synced to Google accounts or third-party databases. You may clear all stored data at any time using the "Clear Data" button within the extension UI.
