1. Data Collection and Usage

The Extension is a professional tool designed to help users extract marketplace listing data for lead generation and research. All data extraction and processing occur locally on your computer.

• No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information (names, emails, browsing history) to external servers.
• Local Storage: Scraped data (titles, prices, phone numbers, specs) and your "Saved List" are stored 100% locally in your browser's internal storage.
• User Control: You have full control. You can clear all stored data at any time by clicking the "Clear Data" button or removing items from your Saved list.
• Remote Configuration: The extension occasionally fetches a public configuration file from GitHub to stay compatible with website changes. This file contains only CSS selectors and does not transmit any user data.
• Data Export: When you export data as CSV or JSON, the file is saved directly to your device. No data is sent anywhere else.

2. Permissions Justification

To provide a professional scraping experience, the extension requires the following permissions:

• activeTab: Used to temporarily access the OLX page you are currently viewing to read listing content only when you click "Scrape".
• storage: Essential for caching your scraped results and maintaining your "Saved List" so your work is not lost when you close the browser.
• sidePanel: Enables the side‑by‑side interface, allowing you to browse OLX while managing your data in real-time without switching windows.
• scripting: Required to execute the logic that unmasks verified contact numbers and handles "Load More" pagination on the page.
• downloads: Allows you to save your research as CSV or JSON files – essential for lead generation and offline analysis.
• alarms: Used to periodically check for updated remote configuration from GitHub, ensuring the extension stays functional even if OLX changes its layout.

3. Host Permissions

• OLX domains: The extension only accesses OLX pages (*.olx.pk, *.olx.com.pk, etc.) to extract publicly visible listing data.
• GitHub raw: The extension fetches a public JSON file from GitHub containing CSS selectors. No user data is ever sent to GitHub – only a read‑only request for the config file.

4. Third-Party Access

⚡ The Extension does not share any data with third-party services, advertisers, or analytics providers. Your research data and leads belong entirely to you and never leave your machine.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features. Any changes will be updated on this page and reflected in the "Effective Date".
